Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I work with Trivas Financial Group?

We take a behavioral finance approach to our advice. We know that overtime investments work better than investors. Investors often make emotional decisions based on fear, greed, or outside influence and buy high or sell low because of those emotions. We try to help our clients make rational decisions even in the presence of competing and difficult emotions.

Our recommendations are based on our clients’ goals and values. We provide comprehensive advice not only around investments, but we also help our clients prepare for the certainty of uncertainty. We don’t know when the stock market will drop, but we can prepare for that. We don’t know if we will live a long healthy life, or die early, but we can prepare for both options.

We also know that our clients are busy people. Most of our clients work with us so that they don’t have to do their own investment research, insurance comparisons, liability repayment strategies, etc. We give time back to our clients so they can spend more time doing what they love.

How are we compensated?

We can receive compensation in multiple ways:

Strategy Fee: We may charge a fee for the design of a comprehensive financial strategy. The amount of the fee is determined after we have reviewed the complexity of your situation and the areas of your financial life that you wish to address. Our goal is that you will leave our first meeting knowing the financial planning fee so that you can make an informed decision on whether to work with us. *Our strategy and planning fee starts at $1,200/year and may increase due to complexity.

Product Implementation: Throughout the financial planning process, we may uncover investment or insurance solutions that would be appropriate to fill a void in your current situation. If we identify an appropriate solution, we would expect to serve as your personal representative in the financial marketplace. If implemented, we may be paid a fee or commission for the implementation of a product solution.

Investment Management: We offer managed accounts that can help you reach your investment goals. With the ongoing professional management of your investments, you can have more time to think about the other important areas of your life. Our fees may be negotiable and are determined based on a percentage of your managed assets and the level of service that fits your needs.

Personal Introductions: The final way we are paid is also the most important part of our compensation. Our success is measured by our client’s satisfaction and their resulting commitment to refer us to people that may need our services. If you are pleased with the advice and service you receive from us, we ask for your help in introducing us to others who could benefit from the work we do.
